"The healing methods of Hildegard von Bingen"

Looking at plants reveals a lot about the general mindset and worldview at the time. With a special focus on so-called signature plants of the early modern period, the lecture will discuss the role of plants in the history of science, among other things. A second focus of the lecture will be on symbolic plants from medieval times to the very modern, which are used in ancient painting, in literature or even in recent blockbuster cinema productions.
Admission is free. Donations would be appreciated.
