The Club der Bonsaifreunde Osnabrück e.V. and the Friends of the Botanical Garden invite you to the 22nd Osnabrück Bonsai Days.
Bonsai as an art form embodies the successful synthesis between plant and garden art. The event with more than 80 exhibits of flowering, deciduous and evergreen woody plants in the Helikoniensaal is dedicated to the subject of bonsai in all its facets. Demonstrations and advice on pruning and cultivation techniques and a performance by the Japanese drumming group "Hoshidaiko" enrich the extensive exhibition. Special varieties of Japanese azaleas (Satsuki and Kurume azaleas) and perennials that are placed in the tray according to the Japanese model ("Kusamono") or serve as side plants ("Shitakusa") will be on offer in the overwintering house. Special ceramics and special tools round off the range.
