Climate trees come to stay – wood use in climate change

© Botanischer Garten

In some locations, native tree species will no longer be able to grow. One way of adapting is to plant so-called climate trees. These, like the tree of gods, are suspected of harming the native vegetation. Is that really true? Are there species with low dispersal potential? What species should we plant now?
