Absaits - concert in the Botanical Garden

Since its foundation in 1991, the guitar ensemble "Absaits" from Hagen a.T.W. has stood for diverse concert programmes "offsite" of all genre conventions. Popular music and classical music have always been on an equal footing in the ensemble - each piece becomes a unique interpretation through the special sound body.
"Fire & Water" is the title of the current concert programme, in which the ensemble presents pieces of music that - in a broader sense - are connected with one of these elements. The spectrum ranges from baroque sounds from G.F. Handel's "Fireworks Music" to contemporary guitar music, such as the musical description of the "Great Barrier Reef" by the Australian composer Richard Charlton, to modern jazz and pop songs that tell of the "fire of love" and of "rivers of tears".
Tickets in advance at the Botanic Garden office (Mon.-Fri. from 10.00 - 12.30) and at the box office.
Admission 19:30 via the main entrance Albrechtstraße.
